Owner and operator Gary Weitermann has dedicated his life to the horticulture industry. A graduate of Florida Southern College with a Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture, Gary has spent more than 30 years cultivating his expertise in landscape design, plant care, and artistic topiary creation.

 

Gary began his career as the owner of a successful landscape business, serving residential and commercial clients for over 20 years. His passion for horticulture eventually led him to SeaWorld Orlando, where he spent more than 10 years as a Horticulturist, helping create and maintain some of Central Florida's most recognizable living displays.

 

During his time at SeaWorld and Discovery Cove, Gary cared for and designed intricate topiary displays featuring beloved marine life and iconic characters, including Shamu, dolphins, seahorses, and many other large-scale horticultural installations. These projects demanded precision, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence—skills that continue to define every piece he creates today.

 

Today, Gary has brought that same level of artistry and professional craftsmanship to Simply Topiaries. His mission is to transform the plant industry by offering beautifully handcrafted tabletop living topiaries that bring joy, elegance, and conversation into every home and garden.
